Now the Writing Career is one of my favorites. If your Sims has the right Traits to be a writer then money will eventually come pouring in. And when you have quite a lot of books out there you don't have to worry about constantly writing as the royalties will just keep on coming in.
So in order to start writing books you don't need to join a career path, you can register as a self-employed writer though. First you'll need to start by 'Practice Writing' at the computer. After you start from here you'll get the option to 'Refine Writing' on the computer. The further along you are in the Writing Skill the larger the royalties, the more likely your books will be a hit and the more options of genres you have to compose.
I recommend starting to compose books after you've gained two or three skill levels. You don't need to worry about refining your Writing Skill after you start writing as, like most other Skills, it levels up as you use it.

The family has gone to Shang Simla, China, for a holiday!

Day 7, Part 2
Dean’s been
checking out the prices of computers, car and parking lots and boy are they
expensive! For now he thinks he’ll just jog to work and wait a few days to buy
a computer. He’s been thinking about getting a pet too. Maybe a cat or a small
dog… or maybe a BIG dog. He’s not sure yet.
They have Of Monsters and Men on the
stereo. Yes! They also have Rise Against. I’m going to be fiddling with the
stereo more than Dean will be. Although I’ll need to worry about Elliot coming
in and turning it on and waking him up. Once I get walls I might move it out of
his bedroom
.
Dean can’t
decide whether or not he wants to focus on a science skill or an athletic
skill. He figures he can save money by pursuing the athletic skill but he’s
thinking about science and medicine as a university path.
That concludes the seventh day.
Day 7, Part 1
Dean is so
over his cheap bed and really wants a new one so he can get a comfortable
night’s sleep for once! Until he can afford a really nice one he’s just going
to have to make do with what he has. It doesn’t stop him getting irritated from
the cheap shower though.
He may actually be living in a
‘house’ but he’s progressing at the same rate Elliot was. I may have him buy a
computer soon in order to write. The faster he earns money the better.
Dean decided
to get himself a stereo! He’s sick of playing chess all by himself and felt the
need to work out. It’s a cheap stereo but it will do for now as he focuses on
keeping healthy. Having the loud music playing in an otherwise silent house is
also brightening Dean’s mood. He’s quite happy with his purchase.
Anna is the first child that was born of Thomas and Wyntr Fennel-D'Avoure. Like her father, she was born a witch.
And she grew into an excelling toddler.
And then of course into a beautiful child.
James and Hannah are born and Anna helps out with their early development.
James and Hannah turned into children and Anna became even closer with the two now they could do more together.
Anna is doing really well in school. She's made it onto the Honour Roll and has stayed on it for quite some time. She's even doing Scouting after school and was awarded a badge and framed her sash.
