After graduating, both Wyntr and Thomas had enough Lifetime Rewards for me to claim Inheritance. With that I refurnished the apartment to make it look much more appealing and then focused on their career paths. Wyntr progressed faster than Thomas but it was because she had a Profession rather than a Job. As they scaled the ladder of their careers I decided that they would not have children until they moved into an actual house and Wyntr had fulfilled her Lifetime Wish.
After a while they also adopted little Sophie as a pup.
